Dental Education and Research
Before becoming a dentist, I completed my undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, then attended New York University College of Dentistry.
I have been a practicing dentist for more than 30 years and have continued my education throughout my career. I have completed the curriculum at the Dawson Academy as well as at the prestigious Kois Center in Seattle.
I have always enjoyed teaching as much as practicing dentistry. I served as an associate clinical professor at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, served as the chief of staff at the Jewish Home and Hospital in NYC, and taught occlusion at University of the Pacific. I proudly served as the president of the New York Chapter of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and have been involved with the organization for more than 20 years. I also founded the Long Island Center for Dental Esthetics and Occlusion, where I teach hands-on programs for my dental colleagues on the latest methods that are the most effective in restorative dentistry.
Additionally, I am the Director of Lamberg Seminars which was created in 2013 to offer a comprehensive curriculum on dental sleep medicine. I became a Diplomate in the Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine in 2011 and serve as a faculty member for their board review courses. I currently lecture internationally on topics related to dental sleep medicine and contribute articles to sleep journals on a regular basis.
I invented the Lamberg Sleep Well Appliance, which is patented and received clearance from the US Food and Drug Administration for treating sleep apnea.
I am an active member of the following organizations:
- American Equilibration Society
- American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
- American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
- Academy of General Dentistry
- American Dental Association
In the Practice
I truly enjoy my job and love getting to know the patients I am helping. My practice helps people of all ages and has an emphasis on cosmetic, reconstructive and family dentistry. My highest goal is to use my knowledge to improve the overall health and wellness of the people who come to see me.
I know it is possible for my patients to look better, feel better, and be healthier when they receive the appropriate personalized care designed just for them. There is nothing like beautiful teeth, but they must function correctly as well. I love helping my patients attain both these characteristics.
I love coming to work and presenting the whole health picture for my patients. I help to educate them and discuss their personal goals and needs. When each treatment is finished, I can see the positive effect it has on their lives, and it makes my work truly fulfilling.
Family and Community
I grew up in Huntington, NY, and have lived in Northport for more than 30 years. My family includes my son James who graduated from SUNY Purchase and is pursuing a career as a film maker. In my spare time, I love sailing, cooking, traveling all over the world, gardening, windsurfing, tennis, yoga, running, swimming, mountain biking, and participating in my book club.
I also am active in our community, regularly attend fundraising events for various organizations, and especially support the cinema arts. I have also volunteered for the Give Back a Smile program by restoring smiles for women who have suffered as victims of domestic violence.
